GLOBAL METAL is the sequel to the successful documentary METAL: A Headbanger’s Journey about the evolution of Heavy Metal music. GLOBAL METAL is about the effect globalization has had on heavy metal music. I strongly recommend watching both documentaries regardless if you’re fan of the music or not.
GLOBAL METAL opens in Toronto and Vancouver June 20th and in Montreal June 27th. Look out for it at a film festival near you.

While Canada was having a nice Victoria Day long weekend, I was down in LA at the Korean Music Festival held at the Hollywood Bowl. I originally had not intended to go, but then all the signs were telling me that I should … so I bit the bullet and went. And as expensive as it was, it was worth every penny. It was also my first time getting drunk at a concert.
I even saw DBSK and Yoona from SNSD in the hotel lobby - course, I was only there to see one person - regular listeners can take a wild guess - everyone else will just have to listen to the podcast.

Since this is the last show of the year, I thought I would share with you my personal favorites of 2007. All have been released this year and no, it’s not all Chae Yeon. I’m actually surprised at my list of top 10, (in no particular order) for this year.
You can also listen to me mull about trying to find a good ramen place in downtown Toronto, my favorite film and album of this year as well as trying to figure out what my New Year’s resolution is going to be. I’d also like to know what your favorite songs released in 2007 were and also your New Year’s resolution - I’m still trying to figure mine out.
